Coastal trail walking and biking!

Half Moon Bay Coast side Trail & Bluff Top Trail

95 Kelly Avenue, Half Moon Bay, CA  (650) 726-8819

The Half Moon Bay Coast side Trail stretches from Half Moon Bay State Park to Miramar -- totaling nearly 6 miles.  With its well paved path, the bluff top trail is a great multiuse course for walkers, joggers, strollers and bike riders. A horse trail parallels the Coast side Trail from Roosevelt Beach to Francis Beach and connects with the Bluff Top Trail that parallels the Beach. The green space along the trail between the Half Moon Bay State Beach and the Bluff Top Park (Poplar Beach) is ideal for bird watching.  Large hawks often sit on the split rail fence and park benches -- sometimes allowing visitors to come within 6 feet of them. Find a bench after a nice walk or bikeride and watch a spectacular sunset!

Some Beaches in Half Moon Bay!

Beaches half moon bay

Half moon bay is a business and recreational city found in California. The crescent of the town is formed by a four mile beach on the Pacific Ocean. The beaches stretch from north to south and include Francis Beach, Elmer Beach, Dunes Beach, Naples Beach, Venice Beach, Miramar Beach, Vallejo Beach and El Granada Beach. People access the beaches using highway 1. Most of the Half Moon Beaches are unpredictable due to the constantly changing weather.  They have bottom contours that change constantly due to the prevailing conditions. When the weather is good, the waves swell to between small and mid-size. This happens when the winds are glassy and offshore. Prevailing weather conditions determine whether the beaches are used for some purposes.
