Beaches
half moon bay
Half moon
bay is a business and recreational city found in California. The crescent of
the town is formed by a four mile beach on the Pacific Ocean. The beaches
stretch from north to south and include Francis Beach, Elmer Beach, Dunes
Beach, Naples Beach, Venice Beach, Miramar Beach, Vallejo Beach and El Granada
Beach. People access the beaches using highway 1. Most of the Half Moon Beaches
are unpredictable due to the constantly changing weather. They have bottom contours that change
constantly due to the prevailing conditions. When the weather is good, the
waves swell to between small and mid-size. This happens when the winds are glassy
and offshore. Prevailing weather conditions determine whether the beaches are used
for some purposes.
