Sea Horse Ranch was opened originally in 1963 and has been in continual operation since that time. We are most fortunate in having a wonderful group of employees, many of whom have worked on this ranch for 18 or more years. All of our staff have grown up riding horses and/or working on horse ranches, and are accomplished equestrians. Each as a particular and professional approach to wrangling and to assisting our customers before, during and after their rides. We take seriously our responsibility to provide safe and enjoyable rides whether those rides are for first-time riders, experienced riders, children or adults. Our ranch rules reflect our emphasis on safety and fun-filled riding experiences for all who come to our Ranch. This ranch offers guided horseback rides along the scenic beaches of Half Moon Bay through more than seven miles of trails. There are also pony rides for small children. Our ranch opens at 8:00 a.m., seven days a week. Closing time will vary based upon the time of year, and other unanticipated factors. So, you want to go on guided horseback riding on the beach, right? Well, you've come to the right place. We are on the beautiful Coast Highway (Highway One, or the Cabrillo Highway--you choose) in beautiful Half Moon Bay--flower and pumpkin growing capital of the universe!! If you are lucky, as you take your trail and beach ride, you might see pods of dolphin, gray whales and sea lions frolicking off the Coast. We also happen to have the very best guided horseback riding on the beach anywhere in California. We are open seven (7) days a week, and would love to see you.
