June 9, 2003. United American Bank opened its doors on June 9, 2003 with the approval of the Department of Financial Institutions and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation granted insurance for the bank's deposits.
May 21, 2003. United American Bank (In Organization) closed its stock offering having raised $15,125,000.00
April 18, 2003. United American Bank(In Organization) moved to its new headquarters location at 101 S. Ellsworth Avenue, San Mateo, CA 94401.
February 6, 2003. United American Bank (In Organization) received a Stock Permit from the California Department of Financial Institutions authorizing the Bank to sell shares of its common stock to the public.
History
United American Bank opened its doors at 101 South Ellsworth Avenue in San Mateo on June 9, 2003. After a brief, highly successful capitalization campaign that raised over $15 Million, we obtained regulatory approvals from both the Department of Financial Institutions and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to officially conduct banking business. United American Bank is now one of the few locally owned and operated banks in the Bay Area. Our Founders and Directors are respected and prominent San Mateo residents with a commitment to customer service, financial performance and personalized banking for businesses and individuals.
